What a week for the Lady Eaglets. Their first MHSAA State Finals appearance in the history of the program. The Lady Eaglets were able to showcase their abilities in the biggest event of the year. The D2 State Finals at MSU Forest Akers West Course, where the best of the best competed for the Big Prize of State Champs. Friday and Saturday's results showed they were up for the challenge. In the Friday rounds in the cold wind and rain, Fr. Kenzie Van Drie stayed the course and shot a team low 95. Saturday morning's weather was sunny, but the temps hovered around 34 degrees, but that didn't stop Fr. Kenzie Van Drie, who carded a team low 91. The team overall finished top 15, and showed it belonged in the State Finals. The girls who competed, Sr. Adrianna Salem, Jr. Audrey Jiddou, So. Tessa Partogian, Fr. Kenzie Van Drie, and Fr. Haley Toma all represented OLSM and their community very well. Head Coach David Clevenger has a lot of young talent coming back next year, and is set up for another run at greatness, STAY TUNED...
